Overview
The online certificate program in homeland security studies is designed for practitioners, students, and others interested in updating their knowledge, skills, and abilities to address the challenging issues of public safety in the 21st century. The certificate program covers a broad-range of topics including emergency management, terrorism, the Patriot Act, critical infrastructure protection, public-private partnerships and related areas to provide a foundation in the emerging area of homeland security. The certificate allows working professionals, graduate students and undergraduate students to develop expertise relevant to contemporary security challenges. The certificate program consists of three, 3-credit hour courses.
