Overview
The International Food Law Certificate Program consists of a series of four, 3-credit hour courses leading to a Certificate in International Food Laws and Regulations which certifies that you have completed a minimum of four courses in the International Food Laws and Regulations Program at Michigan State University.
This program is offered through Lifelong Education and is sponsored by the Institute for Food Laws and Regulations and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources at Michigan State University. It is the responsibility of each student to be aware of and understand university regulations as published. Program runs continuously throughout the year. All courses are offered fall and spring semesters.
Highlighted Courses National Recognition
The program has received national recognition from the American Distance Education Consortium, Norman Borlaug University, etc. Guest lecturers are experts concerning different parts of the world and the World Health Organization (WHO), World Trade Organization (WTO) and Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO).

Anyone who needs regional (U.S.A., Canada, European Union, Latin America, Codex) or topic specific information regarding the regulation of food both domestically and internationally, including graduate and undergraduate students in food or law related majors, food industry professionals, attorneys, government officials and regulators, dieticians, veterinarians, etc.; anyone requiring continuing education for certification or career advancement; non-traditional learners who do not have access to traditional educational institutions; anyone interested in Internet-based education.
